To continue to work in a way to prepare the students from Bahrain for different National and International events. We also believe that the organization of Professional International Competition is an important step to increase the professional level of performing arts in Bahrain as well as a very important platform for a common understanding between peoples, cultures and civilizations, bridging the gap between generations.

    Strategic Plan

Life in Music 5 years Strategic Plan 2019- 2024
    1. Improve student achievement
    2. Educator development
    3. Resource management
    4. Institute culture

Life in Music stakeholders formulated this plan with an eye to the future. They recognized that schools around the world are being challenged to make the process of education more relevant. The traditional view that instruction in schools is mostly about accessing and retaining information is no longer valid. In the 21st century, managing the tsunami of information access is the issue. The questions now are questions of learning engagement. How do we make the curriculum relevant to these virtually connected students? How do we train them to identify and distinguish relevant and useful information and discard the rest?

The Life in Music Action Plan
With that in mind, the Institute formulated a comprehensive action plan, which contained two objectives to improve teaching and learning.

The action plan requires the Institute to:

  • emphasize differentiated instruction to improve student learning
  • establish cross-curricular links between different subjects to create a coherent learning experience.

  • The ABRSM, Trinity College and Russian Music School were chosen as vehicles to achieve the Institute’s objectives. These programs require the school to accommodate students with different abilities and to have broad interdisciplinary focus.

Teaching and Learning Goals for the Current Academic Year
Although we are working under exceptional circumstances, our efforts towards achieving the Life in Music long-term continue.

Teachers will continue to work on:
  • Providing rigorous feedback on daily assessment tasks
  • Use technology as a differentiation tool during instruction.

  • Teachers and administrators will continue to refine the procedures for follow-up on Internal and external Assessment tasks, emphasizing providing gradual feedback.
